Uptown Butte Glass Works is a full-service stained-glass studio, including fused-glass design and jewelry. As an affiliate of the Stained Glass Association of America, (SGAA) I follow stringent studio guidelines. It is my goal to have an accredited studio through the SGAA.

I have been engaged in stained glass since the mid 1980's but did not work as a professional until moving to Butte, MT in 2006. The incredible inventory of historic stained glass in Butte inspired me to pursue renovation and commission work.

I consider all stained glass "specialty." 100 years ago it was common for an average working person to have stained glass in their home. Today it is really considered a luxury item that not many people can afford.

I work primarily with lead. Small repairs and items will require the copper foil method, but lead came windows are my specialty. My main interest is in renovation of historic windows.

I do design work as well. I work with a CAD (computer aided drafting) program called GLASSEYE that assists in the design process.
